Skipping Girl Vinegar/DeadLetter Chorus double headliner
Mon 4th May, 2009 in Local News
Folk rock bands Skipping Girl Vinegar and Dead Letter Chorus are hitting the road together this May. The East Coast tour will give both bands the opportunity to put their latest album on show, both of which were released late last year.
SKV’s Sift The Noise, with tracks One Chance and title track Sift The Noise, has recently been on regular ABC local radio rotation. In 2008, Scene magazine dubbed the album one “that surely ranks as one of the finest Australian releases this year”.
Likewise, Dead Letter Chorus’ August Magnificent is doing the kudos rounds in the street press- the album rated 4 stars in Rave and Time Off, and 4.5 in the Sydney Morning Herald.
The union between the Sydney (Dead Letter Chorus) and Melbourne (SGV) bands is sure to be a good one. Although they hail from different states, their folk pop tunes will resonate with a similar audience.
The Brisbane leg of their co-headlining tour will be supported by Skinny Jean.
