Tooheys Extra Dry uncharTED competition kicked off again this week with the announcement of the top 50 bands that will be competing to win this year’s prize.

The final 50 were chosen from a pool of over 2000 bands by a panel of industry experts and are in the running to win a $25k artist development package plus the chance to grace the mainstage at Spendour In The Grass 2009.

You can even get in on the winning action if you aren’t in a band this year by registering to vote on the Uncharted website. When you sign up to support your favourite band you will automatically go into the draw to win one of eight double passes to Splendour In The Grass.

Throughout the course of the competition there will also be three – œmedia-picks’ from a panel of industry judges. The first of these picks was Brisbane band Ellington who will now go straight through to the finals.
