Tickets for 2009’s WAMi awards night are on sale now. The big night is on Thursday 7th May at Metros and promises to be the biggest night yet.
Hosted by Tex Perkins, with guest award presenters Kav Temperley (Eskimo Joe), Melanie Greensmith (Wheels and Dollbaby) and Mark McEntee (Divinyls) The night will include performances by WAMI nominees Drapht, The Kill Devil Hills, Djiva, Project Mayhem and the Sneaky Weasel Gang.
With a total of ten nominations, Tame Impala lead the WAMi charge, closely followed by the Kill Devil Hills with eight and Birds of Tokyo and Sugar Army with five each. Voting for the public voted WAMi Awards is open to anyone in the world – and we reckon everyone in the world should send a vote Fasterlouder’s way for favourite music website.VOTE NOW
