BCE drummer departs

Having recently delivered a new album, Melbourne hardcore unit Behind Crimson Eyes has lost its drummer Cameron Gilmore. Guitarist Kevin Orr also recently moved on from BCE. In somewhat at-odds statements on the band’s MySpace, Gilmore and the remaining band members explain the situation.
“Due to personal reasons I will no longer be playing drums in BCE,” Gilmore writes. “I want you all to know that there was no – œdramatic fall out’ between me and the guys. We are all still friends and I wish BCE the absolute best.”
Singer Josh Stuart and the rest of the band also air their take on things. “It is extremely disappointing that 2 people that have also shared in those experiences, no longer feel the drive and passion that they once had for Behind Crimson Eyes,” Stuart writes. “To see Kevin and Cameron pursuing other musical avenues and projects with such excitement so soon after leaving us is extremely disheartening.”
Gilmore will remain behind the kit for the upcoming BCE tour in May, before bidding farewell. The guys will then be scouting for a new drummer – so if you’ve got what it takes, send an application to auditions@behindcrimsoneyes.com. However, there are no plans to replace Kevin Orr.
