After overcoming a classic case of writer’s block, Canadian quartet Metric has delivered an accomplished fourth album Fantasies. Its first single Help, I’m Alive has enjoyed widespread success after it was leaked from a pressing plant in Europe. It’s got all of Metric’s indie-pop hallmarks, with frontwoman Emily Haines (she of Broken Social Scene and two solo albums) in fine voice.
