Kevin Rudd says spend stimulusmoney on music
Thu 9th Apr, 2009 in Local News
As we all wait patiently for the government’s economic stimulus package to find its way into our bank accounts – unless, of course, you’re one of those rich bastards that earns over $100k, in which case you miss out – it’s only natural we’d start to daydream about what to spend the money on.
Here at FasterLouder, because it’s a subject close to our heart, we suggest you take Kevin Rudd’s advice and spend it all on music and… err, books. “Some people have accused me of being a nerd from central casting,’’ he joked to Sydney radio station Nova this week when asked what he’d spend the money on if he were eligible.
What followed didn’t really help him in the – œpeople think I’m a nerd’ stakes, however we were pretty chuffed to see him talking up music as a suitable option for your government funded shopping spree. “What I would probably do is go down to the bookshop and buy some books I’ve been wanting to buy for a while, A bit of music, that sort of stuff.’’
Will you take K Rudd’s advice and blow your package on music, or do you have something else in mind? Let us know your plans below… this money’s burning a hole in our pocket and we’re open to suggestions.
