Melbourne success stories Getaway Plan took fans by surprise in February by announcing they’d be parting ways. The band has – œfarewell’ shows lined up for June, but in the meantime it seems the members are forging ahead with new projects.

Guitarist Clint Splattering has put a call out for a singer/not screamer to front his next band Avalanche For Aeris. In a MySpace blog post, Splattering writes: “As some of you may have noticed, we currently only have three members. We need a singer!!! We’re after a singer not a screamer and someone who is willing to commit to a potential touring band. Performance experience is a must.”
