CW plays Earth Hour at the Zoo- win tix!
Thu 12th Mar, 2009 in Local News
Following the great success of getting the indie kids along to the zoo to watch lions chowing down on goats as a warm up for the likes of Eddy Current, Wolf and Cub and Tame Impala, Melbourne Zoo hosts C.W. Stoneking & The Primitive Horn Orchestra. The acoustic show, in celebration of Earth Hour on the 28th of March, will also star Mamie Minch and Dirt River Radio.
Playing tunes from his King Hokum and Jungle Blues records C.W. Stoneking brings swamp blues, do-wop rhythms and hillbilly rag time – the perfect sounds for a lights out performance.
Gates open at 5.30pm, animal viewing until 7pm when the show starts and lights out from 8.30-9.30pm
