De La Soul announce full tour

Announced as part of the Groovin’ The Moo regional tour in May, De La Soul will also play some club shows to celebrate their 20th anniversary. We last saw the good-time guys in early 2008, but this time they’re splashing out and coming with a 10-piece band.
The touring party is made up of seasoned players from across the USA, handpicked by De La Soul. This will be the trio’s most comprehensive tour of Australia to date – and they promise to “re-create the classics from the ground up, 100% live.” What’s more, the gig at the Espy in Melbourne comes with the promise of more international guests soon to be announced!
De La Soul celebrate 20 years in the game at the following shows.
Friday April 26 – Metro City, Perth
Friday May 1 – The Esplanade Hotel, Melbourne
Saturday May 2 – Groovin The Moo Festival – Lou Lister Park, Townsville
Sunday May – 3 Brisbane Big Top (Pending Approval), Brisbane
Tuesday May 5 – Metro Theatre, Sydney
Friday May 8 – The Shores Complex, Adelaide
Saturday May 9 – Groovin The Moo Festival, Newcastle Showgrounds, Newcastle
Saturday May 16 – Groovin The Moo Festival, Bendigo Show Grounds, Bendigo
