Live at the Zoo

South Australia now has its own multi-day music festival. Live at the Zoo will take place at Monarto Zoo on the Easter weekend – Saturday-Sunday April 11-12.

75 Indie, Alternative, Dance/Electro and Hip Hop artists perform on four stages over two huge nights. So far the line-up includes the likes of Cut Copy, Cog, British India, Evermore, Bliss n Eso, Something with Numbers and a heap more.

Camping all Easter weekend is included in every ticket and permitted in the 66 acre concert amphitheatre if you arrive early.

Ticket holders are also welcome to an advance camping day Friday April 10. Gates open at 12 noon. One-day tickets are also available, valid from dawn to dawn Saturday or Sunday.

i'd really like to go, but the distance to monarto (i wouldn't camp), the price, and most likely having no one to go with put me off..

oh well, hopefully no one else i really like gets added to the line-up to make me regret deciding not to go..

BIG FAILURE. Spent $115 on a ticket but opted for an escape and fresh air instead. I can smell a Melbourne Laneway style backlash just around the corner.

8 Overdoses, crowd pushing through barriers resulting in British India walking off and Cut Copy refusing to play. Looks like a bit of a mess.

There was bugger all press and advertising for this as well as a pretty poor line-up. I'm not really surprised its been a massive flop.

The amount of people trying to palm off tickets at half price on Friday was impressive too.

The people selling tickets half price probably go them for free. The organisers gave away over 1000 free tix to boost numbers apparently. I learnt this after I'd paid.

I heard that cog, augie march, evermore and a few local bands pulled out of todays lineup. Saw Tame Impala walking around town today and almost told them to stay far away.

cog, evermore, augie and all that played! just cut copy got cancelled whilst we were waiting for them, and a whole stage got cancelled with all the local bands due to costs..

haha, saw cut copy down the street in adelaide and asked them about the festival cos i was thinking of going to see tame impala and cog... glad i didnt go, haha!
