Garage2V state finalistsannounced!

From a record number of entries, 16 bands from around the country have been chosen to progress to the State Finals in Garage2V 2009. A wide spectrum of talent was whittled down to these finalists by an expert industry panel and public voting. The following bands will be battling it out in their state for a spot in the G2V National Final.

The State Finals will be going down in Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne and Perth, and we’d love for you to come along. The venue details are below. If you want to show your support or simply see some future stars of Australian music, RSVP HERE.

The four state winners will then head to Sydney for the National Final at Oxford Art Factory. That big night will be headlined by none other than rowdy Melbourne rockers Children Collide. Of course, the prize at the end of it all is a spot on the bill at V Festival – alongside the likes of The Killers, Razorlight, Kaiser Chiefs and more.

The State Finals go down at the following venues.

Sydney: Hopetoun Hotel – Wed 4th March
Brisbane: The Step Inn – Thur 5th March
Melbourne: Revolver – Wed 11th March
Perth: Rocket Room – Thur 12th March
