The Big O maps and timetables

Next week, The Big O begins its university victory lap – led by none other than The Fratellis and The Music. The tour ties in with O Week, but you don’t need to be a student to soak up the fun.

And there’ll be plenty of fun to go around. In addition to the two headliners (returning after a fine showing at Splendour – œ08), the support cast includes Ben Lee, Yves Klein Blue, Bluejuice and Cassette Kids. Now it’s time to plan your party, with the official timetables and mapsÃ¢â‚¬Â¦

Canberra has only one stage therefore really get their moneys worth by getting to watch all acts on the bill. No other sites cater to that.. IT'S BULLSHIT !!!

according to ticket the UQ one is doors open at 3...fair bit earlier than others...assuming one stage as well...was kind of hoping for 2 and a ben lee clash so i can easily avoid hearing him

The Music on thursday night were AWESOME! i'm so glad i finally got to see them. i still think Ben Lee is a tool, and the Fratellis didn't really do it for me, neither did their psycho fans.

i wanted to hear Breakin SO BADLY but oh well. when The Fratellis were finished and had left the stage, this girl ran up next to me and was like "FUCKERS! they didn't play ______". the roadies were packing up all the equipment and setting up the next drum kit, and she literally stayed there for 10 minutes waiting for them to come back and play her favourite song.

Good to hear The Music had a good start to the tour.

They've not played either of those in over three years, unfortunately.

And they'll probably never play this ever again - the band hate it!

it was weird being surrounded by uni kids at a gig technically for students when i never even went to uni.

At gigs I'm used to uni students, but they are usually 'alternative' arts students or something. I've never been in a room with more overdressed ditz girls retardedly dancing and mouthing the words (wrongly) and bumping into people. The guys were about the same. Lots of polos etc, and 120 kg guys crowd surfiing on a non existant moshpit, getting out and giggling with their friends about how coolthey are now.

I could go on, but I can't be bothered.

i will never go to an all ages festival ever again. trying to watch bluejuice down int he pit and it was all the "greenies" as we were calling them jumping around and just for the entire show yelling out "vitriol" and doing their high pitched squels and yelling atme for stepping on their feet. thongs are not appropriate mosh pit footwear!!!! so then me and my 5 foot 2 mate jumped into the group of guys who were belting into each other in the last track to show them a thing or 2 and they got annoyed at us for moshing cause i broke their thong...

usually its all the drunks at festivals that tick me off, this time it was the 16 year olds...

me and the girl i went with overdressed but only because we only went at the end before heading out (by over dressed i mean i wore jeans). we definitely weren't acting like the people described in previous posts though. there were some odd types that is for sure.
