Having done the national rounds with both Big Day Out and Laneway Festival, Australia’s leading live band The Drones will set out for headline shows in Autumn. With Havilah truly settled in as one of the best local releases in recent times, this tour is sure to stir up as much fervour as the band’s last outing. In the meantime, Gareth Liddiard has his own solo acoustic dates this month, so fans will not go wanting.

Flying in from Los Angeles to join The Drones on the road is cult punk outfit Qui. One of its three members is none other than The Jesus Lizard vocalist David Yow, who came to the Qui party in 2006. Completing the bill is rough-n-tumble outfit Witch Hats, whose visceral live show should get things off to a flying start.
