Dan Auerbach stomps our way

One half of dirty blues duo The Black Keys, Dan Auerbach is bringing his solo show to our shores this April. The man of many talents will grace the East Coast Blues and Roots Festival and a few headline gigs on the side. He’s touting a very fine debut album, Keep It Hid (released in Australia this weekend), which straddles rock – œn roll, blues, soul and alt-country.

Joining Auerbach both as backing band and support act are Texan ruffians Hacienda. They wowed the Black Keys vocalist with a six-song demo back in 2005, and have gone on to release an assured long player Loud Is The Night. In Melbourne, Auerbach and Hacienda will team up with Tony Joe White for a rollicking Easter Thursday triple-bill.
