Muscles taking a 6 monthholiday

Now that the dust has settled on Muscles’ rather public bitch fight with his label Modular late in 2008 it seems the electro-pop upstart has made the decision to take some time off. Clearly incensed with the music business in general, Muscles has made several threats to quit the game completely in recent memory, however it turns out he’s instead resolved that a holiday is all he needs.

With his – now infamous – musclesmusicblog.com site shut down, the URL redirecting straight to his MySpace instead, the Melbourne based producer made the announcement of his break from music in a short and sweet message earlier this week. “Muscles is taking a 6 month well-deserved holiday break, to travel and see the world (not just from the windows of trains and planes)...” Contiki tour perhaps?

At present his upcoming tour dates list gigs until early March, but after that one might assume that Muscles won’t be coming to a venue near you anytime soon. In the meantime, if you’re a fan you’ll have to keep yourself amused with the acoustic version of Ice Cream, which recently made it into the Triple J Hottest 100 at #45.
