After a surreal and tragic 2008 – losing founding member D.D Meanie to cancer in February and Tas Meanie in a car accident near Geelong in August – The Meanies wanna start ‘09 on a bright note.

So this Friday, the 16th of January, they’re playing a free show in the Gershwin Room at The Espy, with Brisbane’s biggest export SixFtHick in support and playing a one off Melbourne show. The Spazzys and The Once Overs complete the bill.
