When they myspace blogged it in December, there were far too many obstacles between then and – œlate January’ but now that we’ve packed away our Christmasses for another year, we find that the time is almost upon us… and that means postponing the diet for a little longer because Sugar Army have promised us a new single at the end of this month, followed by a headline tour and a full length album to gorge ourselves on this year.

We can expect the single to appear on myspace in the next week or so, and no doubt they’ll give it a whirl at the Something in the Water soundtrack launch. After that they’ll be in the studio till March and then they’ll probably use the momentum of Rockit to launch that headline tour of the east coast they were talking about. Presumably the ‘fledglings’ joining the tour will be Harlequin League; also due for a release and a March tour.

In other Sugary news, the boys are mostly hairy faced these days, and in an effort to avoid the generic a-band-against-a-wall press photo, they have been asking myspace fans for photo ideas. Here’s one: If, as they suggest, their beards really make them look like the dad in Family Ties, and since Pat is still fresh faced and pretty, maybe the other three could be sugar daddys… Or they could recreate a Def Leppard film-clip..

Really. The sticky pun possibilities are endless…
