Corinbank Festival 2009 FirstLine-Up Announcement
Thu 18th Dec, 2008 in Local News
Corinbank Festival is an annual three-day, all-ages celebration of art, music, culture and people. Held at the Corin Forest Mountain Resort, Corinbank about 20 minutes from Canberra’s doorstep but makes you feel a million miles away. Back for its second year this is a festival to make sure you get yourself to in 2009.
Corinbank goes further than most in terms of eco-friendly, carbon neutral, green ticketing; this intimate festival aims to leave no trace on its sublime surroundings or on our planet. The environmental friendliness of the 2008 festival saw Corinbank pick up two Keep Australia Beautiful Sustainability Awards. In 2009 Corinbank’s Green Kulture will blossom from a collaborative idea and tent in 2008 to a full village with an amazing array of creative campsites run by over 30 participating community groups. And best of all, a tree will be planted for every ticket sold!
Three-day passes include free camping on the Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights.
Corinbank will feature a fantastic line-up of music over the three days of the festival, as well as hosting a huge range of art displays, performance art, and activities ranging from the adrenaline-pumping to the artistic, from the exciting to the sublime.
“We open our arms to you, your ideas, your participation and a stellar array of artists, starting on Friday 27 Feb 2009 for a weekend you are unlikely to forget. What part of your imagination will you bring along for the ride?” says Corinbank organisers.
