Nevereverland line-up revised+ set times

Following last week’s rather outrageous blog-storm of controversy with the irrepressible Muscles, many had been wondering what was on the cards for the impending Nevereverland festival tour. With the first dates kicking off this weekend in Sydney and Melbourne, set times and the revised line-ups for each event have now been revealed.

“Please note that some of the artists originally advertised to perform at Nevereverland will now not be appearing,” read a statement from Modular and Michael Coppel Presents. “This is due to some unforeseen issues with production and venue logistics.”

Headliners remain for all shows, including the reigning titans of indie-dance The Presets, Melbourne’s finest Cut Copy and international guests Hercules & Love Affair and Whitest Boy Alive. However, only Perth will now have the pleasure of psych-rock golden boys Tame Impala.

Personally, I found Muscles pretty average live but oh well. I think Tame Impala will be pretty exceptional. Has anyone seen them live? How do they go?

I don't hate Bang Gang, but having them play at festivals is the worlds biggest cop out.

Why is it a cop out? They need djs to do the fill in bits between bands, and Bang gang are on the label. seems fine to me

They are sydney modular party djs. They are okay, but people have a tall poppy syndrome about them.

Because you can go to any given club on any given night and see them, therefore they are not festival material. Especially when the festival is in Sydney.

Well.. It is a modular party, and they are about the only djs on modular. It'd be odd not to see them as the celebrated djs.

I had a good time, surprisingly.
Someone called anxious0 from this forum came up to me and asked if I was MAB. Which, of course, I was. We watched Ladyhawke and Whitest Boy Alive together (Y).

Hercules and Love Affair = BEST set of the day, no question.
