Following on from the line-up announcement of its East Coast sister, the West Coast Blues ‘n’ Roots Festival has unveiled its first batch of artists. As ever, there’s crossover between the bills, but the Freo edition has its own banner names.
Austin raconteur Ben Kweller is set to take the stage, boasting a brand new album Changing Horses. John Butler Trio, Missy Higgins and Paul Kelly will represent the home team, while Dweezil Zappa presents his Zappa Plays Zappa tribute. Then there’s seasoned bluesmen Seasick Steve and Eric Bibb, festival sure-bets Blue King Brown, one-man time machine C.W. Stoneking with his Primitive Orchestra and plenty more. Tickets go on sale Monday 15 December.
