Having delivered one of the year’s most daring albums in Music Hole, French starlet Camille is at last bringing her live show to Australia. Camille has a delightfully skewed take on pop music, drawing on her passion for bossa nova and jazz to make utterly distinctive songs.

Although she’s been on the wish-lists of many since the release of her breakthrough album Le Sac des Filles, the singer has eluded us in the past. Announced as part of the 2009 Sydney Festival programme yesterday, Camille’s resplendent live show will also travel the coast in January. She’s joined by “an eight-piece band of beatboxers, pianists, percussionists and a choir”. You wouldn’t want to pass up a date with this singular talent…

Camille plays the following special shows in January. Tickets on sale now, excluding Sydney.

Wednesday 21 – Billboard, Melbourne
Thursday 22 – Recital Hall, Sydney
Friday 23 – Recital Hall, Sydney
Saturday 24 – Brisbane Powerhouse
Sunday 25 – Brisbane Powerhouse
