After winning the gong for Australia’s Favourite Festival in the inaugural Festival Awards, Golden Plains has announced the line-up for 2009 and with the nuggets of goodness they have in store, it may just be a shoe-in for next year’s award.

If ever a band was made to play the Supernatural Amphitheatre it would have to be the most awesome Mogwai, sure to provide – œthe’ spine-tingling moment of the third annual Golden Plains.

It is clear, however, that 2009 at the Nolan Farm will be all about getting your groove on with the original paranoid android Gary Numan ,the coolest bearded-bloke doing – œdance stuff’, Dan Deacon and the always odd and sometimes downright disturbing Of Montreal all set to play the bill.

Doing it for the Aussie’s at GP will also be The Drones,The Church and the Sultans of Oz Rock , You Am I.
