Stretched across two balmy nights in one of Brisbane’s finest locales, Sunset Sounds has invited a bunch of new names to the party.

Rounding out the bill on Wednesday 7 January is Melbourne acoustic trio TinPan Orange and the hometown trifecta of The Gin Club, Violent Soho and The Rocketsmiths. The following night, sprawling Afro-funk collective Blue King Brown will make the masses move alongside the eclectic sounds of Kat Frankie, The Boat People, The Barons Of Tang and Skipping Girl Vinegar.

Of course these additions are just the icing on an already Martha Stewart-quality cake. Three stages will be running at Sunset Sounds – The Garden and Hibiscus Stages in the Botanic Gardens and the Riverstage – hosting the likes of The Hives, Franz Ferdinand, The Kooks and Tegan and Sara.
