The already talent-heavy Days Like This! festival in Sydney is now even more enticing, with the addition of more international and local names.
Heading the new crop is encyclopedic tastemaker Mr Scruff, whose wide-ranging (and often very long) DJ sets navigate through reggae, soul, dub, hip hop and everything in between. He’s joined by fellow beatmakers A Guy Called Gerald, Radioslave and Mike Monday. We had our fingers crossed for Mos Def, but when you’ve already got Public Enemy, things look pretty peachy…
The local line-up is equally classy, including internationally-recognised luminaries Jamie Lloyd & Jimi Polar, Killaqueenz, Deepchild and Canyons. The full bill now looks like nothing else you’ll see this festival season. It all goes down across four stages (including outdoors, woo!) on the first weekend of 2009.
