Purple Sneakers NYE fills out

Having already secured the international talents of Frightened Rabbit and The Teenagers, Purple Sneakers has now put the finishing touches on its New Years Eve shenanigans.

The extra-special thing about these most recent line-up additions are that they were chosen by the people who come to the party. Sneakers HQ asked its faithful minions to vote for their favourite local band, with the promise they’d try to book them. Of the top five, only Cut Copy and The Presets were out of the budget. However, the other three – British India, Bluejuice and Sparkadia – will all be making the walls shake when January arrives.

Also new to the line-up is Le Tigre’s glam spinner JD Samson, Spod, The E.L.F., The Devoted Few and DJs galore in the form of 2onajoyride, Bad Ezzy (Hoops), Mixtape Mafia, Ben Lucid, Coco & Shambles and Cassette.

The Purple Sneakers New Years Eve House Party happens at Manning House, Sydney Uni.
