Schvendes National Album Tour
Thu 9th Oct, 2008 in Local News
Perth’s broodcore heroes Schvendes make their triumphant return to the East Coast in support of their brilliant, debut studio album, Sweet Talk Your Enemies. The band will farewell their home, sweet home at a special show at The Rosemount Hotel in Perth on Saturday 18 October, before launching their debut LP in Melbourne, Sydney and Adelaide with Melbourne tour buddies Clinkerfield.
The Perth quintet is also sitting patiently in the short list, alongside My Disco, The Seabellies and Cloud Control for the QANTAS’ “Spirit Of Youth Award” which includes a mentorship with producer Scott Horscroft (Silverchair, The Presets, Jet, The Sleepy Jackson and The Panics), $5000 Qantas Flights and $5000 cash.
The Top 3 finalists are announced on Monday 13 October, with past winners including Young And Restless (2007) and Wolf & Cub (2006).
With an already legendary reputation as one of Perth’s most intense and captivating live bands; blending walls of sound with guitars, cello, Rhodes keys and drums that is nothing short of epic, the release of
Sweet Talk Your Enemies has been earning the band the respect they deserve on a national level.
Be sure to see Schvendes off with love and well wishes as they spread their seductive, docile, yet dangerously dark country blues across the East Coast.
