The Juke at Queens – A Celebration of the Blues is a showcase of the finest blues talent this city and this country have to and will be held at the Queens Theatre on Saturday October 4.
For one night only, the Queens Theatre will be transformed to recreate the makeshift bars and clubs of 1930’s Mississippi that became known as juke joints, where weary workers sought release in the simplicity of a cold beer and the grinding rhythms of travelling bluesmen.
The line-up feauters some of Australia’s finest blues musicians, including highly-revered singer and harmonica player, Chris Wilson, ARIA-winning trio, Collard, Greens and Gravy, Adelaide’s own Sweet Baby James and Rob Eyers plus Killing Floor Blues challenge winners The FMs.
Tickets are available for $25 +bf through Venuetix, or $35 on the door.
