Peats Ridge returns this NYE

For all those keen to drop out of the rat-race this New Years period, there’s nothing quite like the Peats Ridge Festival. The perennially chilled three-day love-in has rallied up a fine line-up of local and international talent to see in 2009.

What’s more, it all goes down in one of the most picturesque locations New South Wales has to offer, the idyllic Glenworth Valley. It’s also the first major event in Australia to run completely on renewable energy, meaning your guilt can take a holiday too.

The roll-call of artists going bush this New Years includes New Zealand’s finest Salmonella Dub, ARIA-nominated virtuoso Geoffrey Gurrumul Yunupingu, indie Scots Frightened Rabbit and the bright light of New Orleans Jon Cleary.
