For those who like to rockÃ¢â‚¬Â¦ Trent Reznor and his band of merry men have been announced for next year’s Soundwave Festival, which will tour the country in February and early March. Nine Inch Nails have undergone something of a renaissance in recent times, Reznor breathing new life into the band having been liberated from the constraints of his major record label record deal.

Not a festival for the faint at heart, Soundwave serves up some of the biggest names in metal, punk and rock. The 2009 line-up is undoubtedly its biggest on record, and alongside headliners Nine Inch Nails you’ll be able to catch reformed grunge icons Alice In Chains, the always cheeky Bloodhound Gang, System Of A Down side-project Scars On Broadway and many more.

haha, actually, with music being the main element in many peoples lives nowadays, i have pretty much lost all my friends coz i choose not to go out and take drugs and sit in clubs till 4am anymore.

but meh, guess they're not real friends if there's no compromise.

Its not that hard MAB...you're done with school, you're 18, whats the problem? Theres plenty of accomodation in Sydney on the cheap, I used to come down here heaps before I moved here for gigs, festivals etc.

The line up is fantastic.
Face to Face will be by far the best band of the day in my opinion.
Less than Jake are always great live so very keen for that too.
Don't see what the big deal with Minus the bear is though. Saw their hifi bar show and was bored shitless.

I'd love to see Nine Inch Nails but at the prospect of spending over 100 bucks on a ticket to see them and a few other acts that would mildly interest me, I'm kinda bummed out :P

Bloody Big Day Out - they have lost Fatboy Slim and Nine Inch Nails now - mind you I'm glad they lost F.S because he would have headlined the boiler which would have meant I'd have a big debate as to whom to see at the end of the night.

this dude is right. there are absolutely no plans for sideshows so far, except goldfinger + less than jake + two more internationals all playing sideys together because of the cancelled goldfinger tour.

if most shows sell out very very quickly AJ will consider them but for now you cannot say.. personally i'm desperate for a say anything show in melbourne. any other good bands will be a huge bonus.
