Our Backyard at the ArtsCentre with Muph N Plutonic

Hip hop comes to the Arts Centre on Sunday September 21st with Our Backyard, part of the Mix It Up! series. This free, all ages, alcohol and drug free event is a one-day extravaganza of hip hop culture, headlined by Muph N Plutonic and featuring the best of the best of homegrown hip hop culture live on stage at the Arts Centre, Hamer Hall.

Our Backyard is headlined by acclaimed Melbourne hip hop duo Muph N Plutonic (recently seen wowing audiences across Australia), plus hip hop dance crews – Kstar and Beatphonik (both fresh from competing in the World Hip Hop Dance Championship). There’s also up and coming MCs, krumping masters Royal Kaos Fam, Pacific Island dance crew fuSIAN, breaking crew Wickid, Force, poppin’ and lockin’ crew Nomadic Funk, MC and breaking battles plus live funk soul and boogaloo from Cookin’ on 3 Burners.

Before the show kicks off at 1pm, the Hamer Hall foyers will host a range of activity from 11am including a Sneaker Freaker swap meet, Umalicious food stall with DJs and MCs and the first round of the breaking battles which will take place throughout the day.

This is a free event, but due to space you must book or collect your ticket from the Arts Centre box office at 100 St Kilda Road, Melbourne.
