Hold onto your cravats! UK indie-rock bastions Bloc Party are back on our shores in November for five headline shows, joyously presented by FasterLouder.

The band recently caused a stir by only giving three day’s notice before releasing third album Intimacy. If the playing field is changing, these guys know how to keep up. Intimacy is replete with all the rousing Bloc Party trademarks – punchy instrumentation, sweeping electronics, the urgent vocals of frontman Kele Okereke – that make their live shows so thrilling. Having recently triumphed at the Reading and Leeds Festivals in the UK, there’s no doubt the quartet is in fighting form.

Bloc Party get intimate in Australia this November. Tickets on sale 9am, Thursday 25 September.

while on the topic of bloc party

jonnoseidler's review of intimacy in this weeks brag was one of the most pathetic excuses for journalism i have seen in some time. you in no way justified the five-star rating, despite saying at the outset that five-star albums had to be "the second coming of Jesus". furthermore, there were to examples of "beyond-quirky lyrics", although i can certainly think of examples of shit ones; "you used to take your watch off before we made love/you didn't want to share our time with anyone". and while i would agree that tong has brought back the drumming from silent alarm, again there were no examples. the most glaring one would be trojan horse, however that song went nowhere and this is a crime that songs like signs are also incredibly guilty of.

finally, you come off like a complete and total fanboy. "this band is so incredibly complicated that decoding all of the lyrical and musical reference points on the record would take me twenty years" shortly followed by "bloc party pusted out in the early 2000's as the most unique indie band, well, ever". fucking hell, it's bad enough that you clearly want to suck kele's dick but you also used indie as a fucking genre.

i give your review 0/5. go fuck a dog.

Yeah, this guy writes utter shiite all the time. He wrote something in the soap-box-esque column on the back page of the Herald about some bullshit a while back and told everyone on Facebook about it... Even has his own wanky music blog on there now.

Anyway Intamcy is a pile of steaming shit, not as bad as the Dandy's but still awful! Will probably go to this as I get free Horden tix!
