Much-celebrated collective Augie March has been hard at work on its fourth album Watch Me Disappear, but they’re coming out of studio lock-down for a national tour in October/November.
It’s a long overdue return to Australian venues for the band, with the last 18 months divided between overseas adventuring, intensive writing and a festival date here and there. Moo You Bloody Choir is going to be a hard act to follow, but songwriter Glenn Richards is touting Watch Me Disappear as “the best bunch of songs to date”. We’re inclined to believe him. As a sweetener, Augie March has invited Dan Kelly and his intriguing outfit The Ukeladies to open each show.
Augie March re-appear with the Watch Me Disappear tour. Tickets on sale 11 September.
