After a stellar first edition last year, Sounds In The Grounds is taking over Sydney University again this October. The roll-call of acts is an absolute knockout for such intimate surrounds, with banner names like Midnight Juggernauts, British India, Van She and Children Collide. The party takes over two floors of Manning House, so expect only the rowdiest kind of revelry.
This bash is a homecoming of sorts for the Midnight Juggernauts, who’ve been busy laying waste to Coachella, Glastonbury and Fuji Rock. Sounds In The Grounds will be their first Australian show since March, so the welcome will indeed be warm. In fact, the line-up is all about 2008’s high achievers. In addition to the aforementioned names, there’ll be party-starting sets from Bluejuice, Lost Valentinos, Brisbane upstarts Numbers Radio and Triple J Unearthed winners [is].
