Welcome to the first edition of The Week That Was, a weekly wrap up of all the Brisbane action which was captured out and about by FasterLouder reporters.
British India hit south east Queensland this week, and we were on hand at the Tivoli with a review and photos from this tops show from the rocking four piece.
Even more amazing was that they were backing this up from the night before, when they brought the house down at the Sands Tavern – check out our photo gallery.
Meanwhile, The Mess Hall made an excellent return to The Zoo, and although it wasn’t as packed as it could and should have been, the show still went off – check out our review and photos
On the international front, Unwritten Law and Sprung Monkey graced our shores, definitely not for the first time, and adamweathered was on hand at the Coolangatta Hotel to capture all the action. And of course, Jason Mraz was in town, playing alongside Melanie Horsnell at the resplendent Tivoli theatre.
Meanwhile, The Sunpilots hit up the Globe, The Small Mercies kept things intimate at The Troubadour, and earlier last week Gyroscope and Shihad lit up the Arena.
Finally, on a very local front, the Stranded: album launch took place at the Zoo with a number of independent Brisbane bands doing their stuff.
That’s it for this edition, check out next week’s edition, featuring Panic! At The Disco, Death Cab For Cutie and more.
