Iron-willed songman Steve Earle has long been associated with politically-aware rock ‘n roll and country, and his new album Washington Square Serenade upholds the tradition. In November, he’ll perform a series of intimate theatre shows around Australia, with his wife Allison Moorer warming the stage.
Prolific and outspoken, Earle has crafted 12 studio albums and five live CDs, with no signs of slowing down. Trivia hounds will know he’s also been an occasional cast member on HBO series The Wire. Moorer is also well-regarded as a singer-songwriter, with a new album Mockingbird to spread the word on. Their pooled talents should make for a rousing show.
Steve Earle brings his ‘Washington Square Serenade’ tour to these ‘fully-seated theatre venues’ in November. Tickets on sale Tuesday 26 August.
