R.I.P. Tas Meanie

A member of local legends The Meanies since 1993, Tasman Blizzard (aka Tas Meanie) was tragically killed in a car accident on Friday 1 August. The man is remembered as a founding member of the Seaweed Goorillas and Maiko. In addition to his musical achievements, Tas was also a psychologist “who worked with families in crisis”.
Amongst a stream of condolences, Ringo Meanie had this to say about his friend and bandmate: “A close friend and all round good guy. So many good times on the road and at gigs. It hurts so much that we can’t once again rip through a set together. A tragic loss. Rock on Bliz.”
