The Great Escape Cancelled

It’s with great sadness that promoters of The Great Escape Festival have announced that the event will not be going ahead this year.

Despite the early bird tickets selling out fast, low ticket sales since the initial sale has left festival organisers with no option but to cancel the event

The promoters have issued an heartfelt apology stating, “We’d like to take this opportunity to thank all those people that have made the festival such a success in previous years. We’d also like to whole heartedly apologise to the bands, artists, agents, managers, suppliers, sponsors, media supporters and festival goers that have been let down by our decision. The decision to cancel has not been an easy one for the team behind the event.”

Full refunds for all tickets will be available at the point of purchase and any tickets purchased on FasterLouder will be refunded in full this coming Monday.

You will still be able to catch all the artists scheduled on the bill at sideshows across Australia, including, Supergrass, Conor Oberst, black Francis, Joan As Police Woman and many more.
