There may still be a fair few months to wait, but FasterLouder has learned live electronic legends Underworld will be in Australia to help usher in 2009, specifically for Melbourne’s Summadayze event on New Years Day.
Revealed by Future Entertainment on the Melbourne forum of our sister site inthemix, it’s not yet known what their exact touring schedule will be; but it’s a safe bet that the UK act will make at least a few high-profile appearances around the rest of the country! Who knows – they might even crop up on a less ‘dance-oriented’ line-up too…
With a long history in electronic music that stretches back to the late 80s, Underworld released their fifth studio album, Oblivion With Bells, last year. The outfit’s reputation for high-impact live shows is still rock-solid, and anyone with fond memories of their Big Day Out appearances should be very excited indeed.
