Hey cool kids of Canberra! How was your week? Here at FasterLouder we have had another busy week getting out and about covering everything from our favourite local indie band night, Gangbuster’s at Bar 32 to getting down to Peter Combe and the Juicy Juicy Green Grass Band!
This week’s Gangbusters @ Bar 32 saw the finest indie and electro acts to grace the Canberra scene in sometime. The Thursday night event featured Perth’s novelty-electro artist Tomas Ford as well as Sydney’s indie trio Dead Kitten Parade. Supporting both these unique interstate acts were two locals; Partybus and our own lovely writer and photographer Mary kicked off the night with Burgerman At The Disco. Check out the pics here!
Friday night saw another rocking night out at the Greenroom with Moh Van Wah, Using Three words and The Chuffs doing their thing.
Saturday night saw a few of the FasterLouder kids head to the always pumping Transit Bar where there was a fab vibe, fun people and high-energy music. Perth’s Snowman played an intense and captivating set with Baseball supporting. With DJ’s following on why go anywhere else?
But off to Bar 32 the crew went to get a taste of Bar 32’s ALT club night where once more a FL kid was part of the scene with photographer Simon hitting the deck’s.
Last but not least yours truly headed out on a very rainy Canberra night to ANU Bar to check out Peter Combe and the Juicy Juicy Green Grass Band. And the dedicated fans were not disappointed! Playing an almost two hour set Peter Combe and co. played all the hits as well as some not so well remembered from our collective childhoods. There is something very uncanny about a bunch of twenty something’s jumping around to kids songs wearing home-made papers hats!
And one more thing. Here at FasterLouder we are more than a little excited about the Stonefest line-up, read all about it here.
So what did you get yourself out to? I’d love to hear about it!
