Since its inception in 1968, Canberra’s Stonefest has been a true stalwart on the Australian festival calendar. To help ring in its 40th birthday, organisers have recruited a knockout 2008 bill – spearheaded by the Dandy Warhols and Grinspoon.

Spread across two days at the University of Canberra, Stonefest is utilising a new location on the campus grounds this year. Homegrown legends Faker, The Grates, Regurgitator, The Drones, Bumblebeez and Blue King Brown will also be converging on the Capital, as well as French electro type Alan Braxe and plenty more. Any festival that can last four decades is doing something very, very right. This one’s worth a road-trip…
