Spend a Night Outside with TexPerkins!
Tue 15th Jul, 2008 in Local News
QPAC’s free Nights Outside program has showcased some of the country’s biggest names in music and this month it’s set to grow further.
In recent months, acts such as Avalon Drive, Sparkadia and Young and Restless have had QPAC’s Cascade Court buzzing.
This Saturday night, one of the godfathers of Australian rock, Tex Perkins, will headline the entertainment alongside former Cruel Sea cavalier, James Cruikshank.
Fresh from recording his new studio album, due to be released by Universal Records later this year, Tex comes to QPAC to play some classic tunes from his back catalogue – and possibly some new tracks too.
Also featuring at Nights Outside on Saturday night will be Australian alt pop-rock treasure Fi Claus. Brisbane based Claus has recently toured Australia to launch her second iTunes single, I’ll Be Spending , and she’ll be joined by fellow Brisbane songstress Emma Dean for Saturday night’s performance.
Best of all, this concert is completely free.
It kicks off from 7pm, so punters should arrive early to get the best spots. And if you can’t make it, stay tuned to FasterLouder for photos and a review of this special night.
