Hatched in California but now very much aligned with New York City, We Are Scientists have indie hits to burn. The band is swinging down under in October to play the Great Escape festival and a select few sideshows.

Anyone who has visited the We Are Scientists website blog (sample heading: – œCHILDREN ARE FUCKING OBSESSED WITH US’) will know these guys don’t do straight-laced. This tour is all about new album Brain Thrust Mastery, which rocketed up the charts in the UK and earned plaudits aplenty. The Scientists are in the midst of a exhaustive tour including numerous festival slots, so their live show will be a well-oiled beast when it rolls onto our shores.

We Are Scientists play the following Great Escape sideshows on their October jaunt. Tickets on sale Monday 21 July.
