Having recently put the finishing touches on fourth album The Night Is Ours, Youth Group is giving fans in Melbourne and Sydney a chance to hear some of its highlights at intimate theatre shows.
The band took an unconventional approach to recording this time round – eschewing the conventional studio for a 1920s mess hall on Sydney harbour. They lugged all their equipment into the disused space and set to work in the unique environment, emerging with 10 songs. The Night Is Ours hits shelves June 28 through Ivy League Records. FasterLouder has got its hands on all the album tracks for an exclusive podcast, on which the Youth Group boys also divulge the story behind each song.
