If you’ve been missing a regular dose of (free) no-nonsense rock in Sydney, FasterLouder and Q-Bar are here to help. Presenting Paradise City, “a weekly night of hip shakin’, gun slingin’, whisky soaked madness”.
Taking its cue from iconic rock dens like LA’s The Whisky a Go Go and London’s 100 Club, Paradise City is your new antidote to mid-week drudgery. The night will feature some of Australia’s coolest bands doing DJ sets, well-priced booze, one-dollar pool and the occasional after-party for touring bands (who might spin some tunes themselves). Expect musical delights spanning “hard rock, glam rock, cock rock, punk rock, metal, rockabilly, gothic and everything in between”. And, of course, it’s free – so there’s really no reason not to make it your home away from home. Paradise City launches on 2 July at Q-Bar on Oxford Street, with a guest set by Hell City Glamours. Come and say hi to FasterLouder – we’ll be the ones cheating at pool.
Paradise City takes over Q-Bar every Wednesday from 2 July. Free entry!
