Fresh from supporting Judas Priest on the Metal Masters tour of America, West Coast stalwart Testament will tear into Australia for a run of shows in September. The band’s visit comes on the back of its new album, The Formation of Damnation, which is already going great guns in the US. It’s hardly a surprise – since the early ‘80s Testament has been one of metal’s most influential players. Various members may have fallen by the wayside over the years, but they’re still as hard-hitting as ever.

The original Testament line-up is coming to Australia: vocalist Chuck Billy, guitarists Eric Peterson and Alex Skolnick, bassist Greg Christian and drummer Paul Bostaph. There is also a sterling Aussie support cast at each show: Anarchsphere, State of Integrity, Picture the End and Mortal Sin. Get into it!
