One of Splendour’s hottest bookings, California’s Cold War Kids has obliged our calls for sideshows. Brisbane, Melbourne, Sydney rejoice.

Four years old but already reasonably prolific, this blues-rock quartet has starry skies ahead. They’ve bunkered down to record a second LP, which should expand on the promise of their numerous EPs and debut album. Lead singer Nathan Willett has a truly unique soul voice, and it’s backed up by rich and often elegiac instrumentation. In short – all the ingredients for a special live show.
