With two audacious albums to its name, London outfit Grand National is making its virgin voyage to Australia this June. Due to play the We Love Sounds festival in Sydney, the boys have also locked in a headline show.
Grand National’s first album, Kicking The National Habit was a runaway success, recalling the perfectly-formed pop of Joy Division and New Order. While the record’s full-figured sound suggests several hands on deck, the band is in fact only Rupert Lyddon and Lawrence ‘La’ Rudd.
The multi-instrumentalists again rose to the occasion on their sophomore offering, A Drink & A Quick Decision. You can expect to hear the best from both releases in the intimate surrounds of Oxford Art Factory on Friday 6 June.
Tickets to Grand National’s sideshow are on sale now from Moshtix.
