Imagine a 9 piece soul/funk band circa 1968 bringing it hard, raw and sweatyand you have Australia’s most exiting new deep-funk outfit, The Transatlantics.
Saturday May 10 will see the band launching their debut 7” single Save Me From Your Love at Rocket Bar. Recorded to 2” tape, with no computer in sight, The Transatlantics energetic and gritty live sound is captured on vinyl as a result of real musicians playing real instruments in the moment.
The single Save Me From Your Love and B-side Big Chief was recorded at Adelaide’s Chapel Lane Studios and is being released on Mecca Records.
Tickets at the door from 9pm.
