After repeated requests, metal sensation Lacuna Coil has locked Australia in its sights for a headline tour – proudly presented by FasterLouder. The Italian outfit last visited our shores in 2007 with the Gigantour mini-festival, playing alongside Megadeth and Static-X. Lacuna Coil left every crowd reeling with its unbridled, incendiary live show.
As expected from a Milan export, Lacuna Coil promises immaculate craftsmanship. The band, fronted by the captivating Cristina Scabbia, has finessed its powerhouse metal sound over almost fifteen years. A new album is expected in September 2008. “We feel like we’re on the right creative mood but we still wanna write a lot more material before we call it done,” assures co-vocalist Andrea Ferro. It’s likely the June tour will be a test run for the forthcoming material, making your date with Lacuna Coil even more essential.
