Ladytron's first everAustralian live tour

Electro-rock crossover act Ladytron are all set to release their brand new album – œVelocifero’ on May 31st, and speaking with FasterLouder this week co-frontwoman Mira revealed the band will be bringing their acclaimed live show to Australia for the first time ever later this year.

Initially breaking through when electroclash was the hot topic in dance music, Ladytron have managed to live on and remain relevant long after the hype machine chewed up and spat out the ill-fated genre. They’ve been compared to groups as diverse as Air, Stereolab and My Bloody Valentine, and having visited Australia for a DJ tour in the past, this will be their debut journey down under with the full live band in tow.
– œVelocifero’ sees the band break away from the constraints of a major record label, and was self-produced with help from Vicarious Bliss (of uber-cool French label Ed Banger) and Alessandro Cortini (of industrial rock-gods Nine Inch Nails).
